Patricia was born on August 26th, 1945 in Fresno, California to Alex Huber and Mollie (Heizenrader). She grew up with her sister Beverly (Diel), and brother Douglas. Patricia shared many life experiences with her family growing up and she graduated from Maclane High School in 1962. She married Kenneth Lehtola on February 27th, 1971 in the National City Methodist Church in National City, California. Together they had three children, Neil, Denise (Wayson) and Lori Ann (Shook). Over the years, her family has grown to include 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A person’s working life becomes a very large part of who they are and Patricia was no different: She worked as an engineer at AT&T for 27 years.
Her hobbies included traveling, crafts, camping and fishing. She also did volunteer work for Safari Club International and Ducks Unlimited. In addition to her busy home and work lives, she was host and escort for exchange students from a Navajo school in 4 corners states.
Patricia lost her courageous fight with cancer on June 10th, 2013. She passed at her home in Bonita, California.
She is survived by her spouse, Ken Lehtola, sister Beverly Diel, children Neil Lehtola, daughter Denise Wayson, daughter Lori Ann Shook, her grandkids Nikolas Wayson, Preston Shook, McKenna Shook and great granddaughter Dakota Wayson.
Her services were held at The Little Chapel of Roses at 11:00 am on Tuesday June 18th 2013. Following the service, she was laid to rest in the Garden of Impressions mausoleum at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
