Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Neriza Melo Vallido was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Neriza will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Neriza Melo Vallido was born in Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines on August 9, 1958. Her parents' names were Amado and Lydia Melo. She was raised with two brothers, Nestor and Arnel and one sister, Daisy Melo. Neriza was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Neriza attended and graduated from Cavite National High School in 1975. She also attended and graduated from Philippine Women’s University in 1979 where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Neriza was blessed with one child Rachel Vallido. Neriza worked hard to be a good mother to her daughter and did her best to fulfill her needs, raising her in a positive and nurturing environment.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Neriza enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Neriza worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Neriza worked at UCSD Medical Center in the Nephrology department from 1996 through 2011 and in the Renal Advantage Dialysis from 2005 through 2012. One of her most accomplishments was being named UCSD Employee of the Year.
Neriza enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities including line dancing, family outings, watching TFC, playing puzzles online, Sudoku and shopping. She was always willing to share her interests with others.
Neriza Melo Vallido left us on June 19, 2012. She passed away in San Diego, California after battling Pancreatic Cancer. She is survived by her daughter Rachel; parents Amado and Lydia Melo; brothers Nestor and Arnel and sister Daisy Melo. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California on June 26, 2012. Neriza was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
