Myrla F. Lorenzo, born on July 22, 1945, beloved wife, mother, and lola, went to heaven on December 12, 2024. She lived a life defined by love, humility, and joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Myrla was the devoted wife of Joe Lorenzo, with whom she shared a marriage for 46 years built on unwavering love and support for each other. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her incredible cooking. As a mama and lola, her heart overflowed with pride and affection cherishing every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she made sure they always felt her unconditional love, often expressed in eating and traveling together.
Myrla had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys - cheering for her Chargers on game day, enjoying her favorite TFC shows, preparing a delicious feast, or sharing quiet moments with loved ones. Her humble and playful nature inspired us all.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family and friends. She leaves behind five children – Elmer, Maribeth (Ebeth), Meredith (Neneng), Leslie, and Josephine; 12 grandchildren – Karla, Nico, Jett, Tyler, Kai, Joshua, Daniel, Madison, Maverick, Yasmine, Soleil, and Quinn; and two sisters - Jocelyn and Ann.
All services will take place in the Magnolia Room at Glen Abbey Memorial, located at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA. Visitations are scheduled for Thursday, January 23, and Friday, January 24, from 5:00-9:00 PM. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 10:00 AM, followed by the Committal at 11:00 AM. A Reception will immediately follow from 12:00-2:00 PM.
Myrla’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and a life well-lived. Her spirit will forever remind us to cherish our loved ones, embrace life’s simple joys, and live each day with humility and gratitude.
