Michael Augustine Rooney

Michael was born in Berlin New Hampshire and spent his early years going to school, learning to play guitar and enjoying many outdoor activities. He left with his young family for California and settled in Spring Valley where he began his career with Pacific Bell. There, he met his future wife Adela. Mike enjoyed taking his children to Harbor Island and Mission Beach where they enjoyed countless fun activities together.

Mike was a lover of music and an accomplished guitar and bass player. He played with several genres throughout San Diego county including with a country western band, with the San Diego Mandolin Orchestra and his favorite, big band music bands.

In retirement Mike and Adela traveled throughout much of the United States from coast to coast in their motor home, and cruises from Alaska to the Panama Canal.

Mike passed away peacefully in Avondale, Arizona and leaves behind daughters: Michele with husband Keith Trisciani, from New Hamp, Roxanne in California, Aimee with Jeff Schabilion, from California, Susan in Florida and he was predeceased by his son Gary.

Mike was blessed with and loved by his 11 grandchildren, Robbie, Skylar, Nicholas, Vanessa, Jordan, Jivan, Peyton, Sydney, Jeremy, Joshua, Heather and one great granddaughter, Ariana. He is survived by sisters Eileen Rooney and Phyllis Morrisette in Berlin New Hampshire, and loving wife Adela.
