Maria Leticia Malinski

Maria was born August 16, 1951 in Ensenada, Mexico. She grew up there with her mother, father, and brother and came to the United States when she was 16 years old. She attended San Diego High School and graduated in 1970. In 1974 she met Hal Malinski who she later married in 1979. In 1986 they welcomed their daughter Leticia. Maria spent her working life as a homemaker and caregiver.

Her interests included going on long walks, catching up on her daytime soap operas, playing solitaire and completing jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and listening to music. However, she devoted the majority of her free time to caring for her husband and daughter and her many friends and acquaintances. She constantly worked to make life better for everyone she knew, and touched many people with her humor, kindness, and hard-working nature.

Maria is survived by her husband, Hal; her daughter, Leticia; her mother, Carmen; her brother, Francisco; and her granddaughter, Amelia. She left us too soon and is deeply missed.
