I had an older brother Dale (12-26-1936) and a younger sister Linda (12-23-1939). I was adopted by my uncle, Earl Babcock and aunt Doris Babcock when I was 7. They had five children of their own: Milton, James, David, Eileen and Charles. Dale and David have proceeded me in death. I have many nieces and nephews.
I always had a dream of becoming a teacher. I obtained my bachelors of education in 1961 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and my masters of education from San Diego State University in 1986. I enjoyed many years of teaching and loved my job.
In 1961, I married Richard D Oliver. We were a military family for 14 1/2 years. In 18 years of marriage, I was blessed to give birth to Bradley Scott in November 1964 and Karen Lynn in 1969. They continue to be my pride and joy. Both are successful and contributing members of society. Brad married Josefina Hernandez in April 2001. Josie is more than I could've asked for to be Brad's wife and my daughter-in-law.
I have enjoyed and lived life to the fullest for 83 years. I am looking forward to meeting my Lord and seeing you all again in his planned time.
We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know who controls tomorrow. See you in heaven.
