Jose Virgen Zepeda

José came to the US in 1953, and shortly after he enlisted in the US Army just prior to the Korean War. During this time he was married and decided to move himself and his wife to Chicago, IL to work and raise a family. All of his children were born there and he spent every summer taking the entire family back to Mexico where he loved to visit.

Later, José lived in San Ysidro, CA (South San Diego) since 1975 where he worked until retirement and watched his children grow up and move away from their childhood home. He was active in his church until the end and enjoyed spending time with the Knights of Columbus. José will be dearly missed by his family, relatives and friends but we all share special memories that will live on forever.

Funeral Services will be held on September 8, 2020 at 11:00 am at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA.
