Jose Mariano Borja

February 6, 1928 – February 18, 2024

Jose Mariano Borja, age 96 passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Jose, fondly known as “Joe” was born in Agana, Guam USA. He is the son of Antonio Toves Borja and Soledad Quitugua Mariano Borja. Joe joined the Navy in 1948 and retired in 1968, having served in the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. Upon his retirement from the Navy, he worked as a Civil Servant at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery for 20 years as a gardener. He was a resident of San Diego for over 60 years.

He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Stella Borja, his siblings Ana Pangelinan, Maria Enriquez, Jesus Borja, Ignacio Borja, and Antonio Borja

A committal service for Jose will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, 1700 Cabrillo Memorial Drive, San Diego, California 92106.
