James grew up in San Diego, California. He was raised with four other siblings. He had one sister, Gladys, and three brothers, Andrew Paul, Amancio Jr. and Jesse John. James was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
On May 1, 1982 James exchanged wedding vows with Cynthia M. Francia. They were blessed with two children, Michael Jim and Jason Noel. His primary occupation was as a waiter at Admiral Kid Club and as an office assistant at Mangosing INS Agency. James always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
James passed away on October 22, 2010 at San Diego. He is survived by his children Michael Jim Mangosing and Jason Noel Mangosing; his sister Gladys M. Alano; his brothers Andrew Paul Mangosing, Amancio mangosing Jr. and Jesse John Mangosing; his mother Noemi Sahagun Mangosing and Cynthia M. Francia. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuarary Chapel and St. Michael Catholic Church. James was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
Simply stated, James was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. James leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember James Jay Mangosing.
