Gloria Bautista De Vera

Gloria was, indeed, happy and fun-loving – anyone who had the privilege to interact with her can attest to the ease of mind and merriment she brought to the room. She was very generous and known for her positive attitude.

Happiness was of the utmost importance to Gloria and its pursuit was something she constantly reminded of her family. Regardless of the hardship she faced throughout her life, Gloria persevered and strived to maintain the happiness of those she held dear.

Gloria Bautista De Vera of National City, California passed away on September 20, 2020 at the admirable age of 94. Despite her age, Gloria was young at heart and embraced life with a bright smile.

Gloria was born to Hilario Bautista and Simeona Velasco in San Pablo, Laguna in the Philippines on April 1st of 1926. Gloria was married to Bonifacio C. De Vera, with whom she shared eight children with.

She migrated to the United States in July of 1988 and worked as a nanny until the year of 2002. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, making memories, and giving her familiar warm hugs and kisses. If there was one thing she knew how to do, it was to put a smile on the faces of those around her. Gloria also spent a lot of her time sewing and adorning her home with all of her creations.

Gloria is survived by her seven children Bibian D. Saludez, Edgardo B. De Vera, Victoria D. Cubillo, Crisanto B. De Vera, Bonifacio B. De Vera JR., Edwin B. De Vera, and Roldan B. De Vera and their children.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Bonifacio and her son Raul B. De Vera.

Flowers or memorial donations may be given to the De Vera or Cubillo Family. The family of Gloria B. De Vera wishes to thank friends and family for their prayers, love, and support.

Evening Visitation will be held on October 5th and 6th of 2020 at 5:00 pm at Glen Abbey’s Little Chapel of Roses, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, California. Funeral Service will be held on October 7th of 2020 at 10:00 am at Glen Abbey’s Little Chapel of the Roses, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, California. Committal Service will be held on October 7th of 2020 at 11:00 am at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, California. “Celebration of Life” Reception will be held on October 7th of 2020 at 11:30 am at Glen Abbey’s Little Lodge, 3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita, California.
