Felix Dugay, 81, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Sharp Chula Vista Memorial Hospital. Felix was born on February 21, 1932 to Mariano and Cipriana Dugay, in Sprecklesville, Maui, Territory of Hawaii. He is the second oldest of 7 children.
Felix served in the U.S. Army. He met his beautiful bride, Teruko Dugay, while stationed in Tokyo, Japan and they married in 1958. After devoting 20+ years to the military, he then served his country as a civil servant.
Felix enjoyed watching his grandchildren, nieces and nephews take advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather by spending time in his swimming pool. He also enjoyed his fruits trees turned their harvests into wonderful homemade jam which he shared with family and friends.
Felix is survived by his daughter, Doris; grandchildren, Daniel and Chris; brothers, Jaime, Pedro and Manning; sisters, Nina and Sinaida; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, and brother-in-laws.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Glenn Abbey Memorial Park in the Nature Garden at 1:00 p.m. with the presentation of military honors and the inurnment thereafter.
The family will greet friends at Felix’s residence, 1447 Princess Manor Court, Chula Vista, to celebrate his life.
