FELISA PAGLINAWAN MONTENEGRO
was born on May 18, 1932 in Siquijor, Philippines
as the only child of JUAN PAGLINAWAN and VICTORIA ANGOT.
She married AUGUSTO SELORIO MONTENEGRO at the age of 18,
and bore him fourteen (14) children.
She was a successful FULL TIME HOMEMAKER taking care of her husband and children.
Her hands were always full in handling family affairs, finances,
particularly disciplining the children by instilling moral values and teachings.
She nurtured her children with love, compassion, patience, and understanding.
To augment her husband’s income
(who was a Lieutenant Coronel in the Philippine Army, a CADET Instructor, and a Teacher),
she had the wisdom, intelligence, industriousness, diligence, and resourcefulness to start a business career by opening and running ARABELLA’S CANTEEN and a store in the Public Market.
She was then a BUSINESS WOMAN.
SHE DID ALL THESE TO ENSURE EACH CHILD GETS COLLEGE EDUCATION
EDUCATION is the highest value at home.
ALL FOURTEEN CHILDREN GRADUATED IN COLLEGE.
