Edward Leon Huffman was born on July 12, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri. As a young boy with his father being in the navy, he lived in Kansas City for a few years, Brunswick Georgia, Puerto Rico, Jacksonville Florida, and lastly San Diego, California where he basically grew up.
Edward went to Kennedy Elementary School, Coronado Junior High School and graduated from Morse High School in 1978. He went to ECC College, trade school and learned how to weld, and lay tile. Edward also worked in a glass and aluminum factory in Minneapolis, Minnesota and for a paper box company here in San Diego.
Edward was a jack of all trades; he could fix anything around the house, if there was something he didn’t know how to fix, he would read the instructions, get his tools and diligently complete the task at hand. There were times when a professional would come out to the house to fix something, Edward would have already worked on part of it and the professional would praise Eddie for a job well done.
Edward was well liked and loved by many. He was the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, and would sacrifice his own time for the betterment of others.
Edward is predeceased by his Father - William Huffman and his beloved Grandmother – Adeline Tucker. He is survived by his Mother - Gertrude Huffman, Brother - Clarkston Huffman, Sister - Diana Peter (husband - Richard), Niece - Leandra Peter, Nephews - Derrick Rayford (son – Liam), Clark Ingram (wife – Arlene, son - Anthony), and special mention to his Aunts and Uncles, Bobby &Willa Bryant, Richard White, William & Patt Tucker, Pat Rodgers, and a host of cousins from Kansas City, Missouri.
