Eduardo Hernandez Rivera

Born in Sacramento, California on September 28, 1964. His Family moved to San Diego when he was 4 years old, becoming a big part of the San Diego Community.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Rivera and three grown sons.. Eddie Rivera II, Ricardo Alejandro Rivera and Daniel Justo Rivera.

Loving son to Ms. Alejandra and Justo Rivera (RIP). Older brother of Angelina (Nina) Rivera and Ernesto Rivera. He was blessed with 5 wonderful nephews and 4 amazing nieces. All of which he loved unconditionally.

His nephew Michael Garza once said "Uncle Eddie was the Patriarch of the Family". And he was, and he took that role seriously, and with extreme Pride.

Eddie was blessed with two Families..his biological family and his Brothers and Sisters in the Lowriding Community. And Yes, Even a Father figure (Thank you Lyle Fisk).

He was a Strong Hard working Man, with a big wonderful Heart. He always said things as it was - Never Sugar Coating anything, always believing people wanted to hear the truth, and if they didn't want the truth from him...then he would say "They never should of asked him if the wanted a lie".

If he said something / or someone was Wonderful, Beautiful or Amazing...he meant if from the Heart.

This was a man who would go out of his way to help a complete stranger. So you can imagine how hard he would work to help Family and Friends. To be honest, all strangers he helped became friends. I guess that is why he had so many friends.

If someone needed money, Eddie would give it to them...If he didn't have it, he would find work to be able to get the money.

People that really knew Eddie knew that sometimes his words could feel a little rough and maybe even sting a bit, but if those words made you say "I will prove you wrong Eddie".

He would say "Prove me wrong-I want you to prove me wrong", "But until you prove me wrong...know in your heart, this if how I feel.".

And if those words motivated you to prove him wrong...he would be the first to say "Thank you for proving me wrong, I knew you could".

Eddie will be missed by his Biological family as well as his extended family.

Rest in Peace Eddie, we love you with all out heart. It's time for your new Journey, May you have a safe travel, Heaven is waiting for you.
