

Born in the Philippines to Leonor Javellana and Paterno Sanz, Edison was the second child of five children. His brothers Efrain, Augusto, and Enrique who are buried in the Philippines preceded him in death. His sister Violeta resides in San Diego.
While serving for the United States Navy, Edison met and married his wife of 55 years, Keiko in Sasebo, Japan. He moved his family to the United States and settled in California.
Edison retired from the United States Navy and the U.S. Post Office. He took good care of his family. Edison will be remembered for his undying love and devotion to his wife Keiko-san, his hospitality towards friends and relatives, his robust humor and hearty laughter, his roasting and cooking skills, his generosity in gifts and acts of kindness, and his enjoyment in having all his children over for dinner.
Edison is survived by his wife Keiko and their children Shirley, Marilyn, Edison Jr. and his wife Beth, Susan and Raymund.
