Crisanta lived most of her life in the Philippines. However, in 1998 her daughter Imelda decided to bring her to Yokosuka, Japan where she lived with her and family through year 2002. She also lived with Imelda, her two children and late husband Jeremy Sluss were stationed in England through the year 2005. Crisanta was happy as Jeremy treated her like she was a very special mother in law. Jeremy cooked for her and would also take her places and chat with her at times and made her laugh. In the year 2008, Crisanta entered the U.S.A. for the first time and lived with Chato and Bill Midlin (one of Imelda’s close friend) in Washington state and was able to get her Green card while she was living there. Then in year 2009, Imelda flew her out to Chula Vista, CA where she again, lived with Imelda and her two children through year 2012. They later moved to bigger home in San Diego, California. She was happy living with Imelda, Scott and their two children Michael and Kiani who took good care of her. However, in November through December she was in and out of the hospital and later diagnosed with breast cancer. She had an operation however, was almost immediately released from Sharp hospital as she was doing well according to the doctors. She was going through treatments however, unexpectedly went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was an awesome cook. From appetizer, main course and dessert, her cooked food tasted so delicious that she beat the other Filipino restaurants in San Diego when it comes to taste. She often times cooked and sold them wherever she lived (Philippines, Japan, England, Washington state, Chula Vista and San Diego, California). She was quite happy when she cooked all her Filipino cuisine and so glad when her family as well as her clients are content with her cooking. Also loved babysitting especially when she earned money to send to the Philippines. All her earned money were sent to them. She thought of her family in the Philippines first before she thought of herself as she never want to spend any money on herself unless, they were given to her. It was so important to her and she was especially happy when everyone is doing well.
Her hobbies were watching Filipino shows and movies. Also she loved gardening and had a green thumb as whatever she planted they grew such as red and green chilies, tomatoes, ampalaya etc. which she used in her cooking as well as loved giving them away!
Crisanta has three children. She is survived by her children Imelda O. Sluss, Romeo S. Egot and Bernardo S. Egot who are living in the Philippines. She also survived by her seven grandchildren, Michael O. Beal, Kiani O. Beal, Kenneth Egot, Rosebelle Marie Egot, Romeo Marco Egot, Andei Egot, Arman Egot.
