Celestino Nasol Costa was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Celestino will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Celestino was born on April 6, 1922 in the Philippines. He was the son of Tibercio Costa and Andrea Nasol. Celestino grew up in Imus City, Philippines. Celestino was raised with three siblings. He had two brothers Tony and Dadiong, and one sister Leonor. Celestino was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings and they shared many life experiences over the years. A typical teenager, Celestino had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated in 1938. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
On February 14, 1950 Celestino exchanged wedding vows with Aurora Bisagar in Cavite, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Celestino was committed to making his new family happy. Celestino worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Celestino was blessed with eight children, three daughters, Anita, Felicitas, and Lily and four sons, Eliseo, Nestor, Cesar and Geronimo. Another blessing for Celestino was the gift of eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Fortunately, Celestino enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Celestino worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was a U.S. Naval base, ship repair man. He was employed for thirty two years. Celestino always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Celestino enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were playing the tuba, gardening, singing in the church choir, drawing and sketching. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Celestino passed away on April 28, 2013 at Sharp Hospital, Chula Vista. Celestino passed away due to Respiratory failure. He is survived by his two daughters Anita and Lily and his four sons Osyo, Nestor, Bart and Cesar also leaves eleven grandchildren April, May, Alex, Daniel, Jabin, Martin, Cj, Ian, Kiel, Troy and Andre and three great grandchildren Jolyna, Jillian and Ron. Services were held at the Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California at 1:00 PM.
Simply stated, Celestino was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Celestino leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Celestino Nasol Costa.
