On April 10th 1973 Anna exchanged wedding vows with Juan Francisco Saenz. They raised a family of four children, two daughters, Concepcion Saenz and Anita Saenz and two sons, Juan Luis Saenz and Moises Saenz. Anna and Juan would be further blessed with the gift of ten grandchildren; Isabel, Juan Luis Jr., Kiarah, Kayla, Alejandra, Eduardo Jr., Yazmin, Savannah, Isabella and Layla.
For many years, Anna dedicated herself to raising her family. When she joined the workforce, she taught in the San Diego School District. She always loved working with children whether she was assisting in the classroom or in the office. She also found herself teaching catechism at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Anna enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. She was a lover of arts and education. Her favorite pursuits were knitting, crocheting, tending to her roses and plants as well as tending to her many pets at the ranch. She took pride in helping her children and grandchildren. She was a very joyful person that loved music. She enjoyed various genres. Artists include Simon and Garfunkel, The Mamas and the Papas, Patsy Cline, Randy Travis, The Beatles, The Temptations, Los Apsons, Los Panchos, Bronco, and Julio Jaramillo. Additionally, Anna's faith was important to her. She was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church, attending various churches in different communities.
Anna passed away on April 11, 2014 at her home in Aguanga, California. Her husband, Juan Francisco Saenz, her children, Concepcion Saenz, Anita Saenz Reyes, Juan Luis Saenz and Moises Cervantes Saenz, her grandchildren, and her brother and sister, survives her.
She was a gift to the world, pure in heart and strong in spirit. Anna leaves behind her a legacy of family and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Anna Maria Saenz. Services will be held at Glen Abbey in Bonita on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 and Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
