Born 11/28/53, she was with us for 24,176 days. Daughter to Tony & Anita Valdivia, Ana M. Valdivia, the eldest of 5 siblings, led the charge of an array of assorted children over the years to perform various acts resulting in smiles on the faces of others. Here is a sampling of some of her shenanigans & gifts. Organizer of neighborhood Christmas carolers, backyard camp outs, Halloween makeup artist, one time only barber, Mt. Laguna Camp Fooch CFO & Facilitator, water park organizer and thinker extraordinaire for all things fun.
For those who survived the formative years, we watched her come of age as she continued to share whatever goodness was on her plate. Her ideology was fairly simple in that she didn't want for things and wasn't of the "grass being greener" ilk. She was quite the opposite in that she was more the kind to think that the only time it's alright to look into someone else's bowl is to make sure they have enough.
Later we witnessed her heart wake up. She had met someone. Someone very special at of all places, a Warehouse record store that this handsome gentleman managed. Enter Lewis Wooten. Lewis possesses a unique combination of qualities required to successfully be with Ana. Here are just a few of those qualities: Intelligent, patient, good listening, kind, non-judgmental & calming. Basically the qualities mentioned in 1st Corinthians 13:4-8. In 28 years of marriage, they served their families, children of their families, friends of those children in addition to complete strangers who'd become life long friends. As her brother in-law Cecil would say, "With no children of their own, she was mother to many."
On this side of heaven we mourn, miss, smile and laugh at the memory of a loving wife, daughter, daughter in-law, granddaughter, sister, sister in-law, aunt, friend, co-worker & neighbor.
