Allen C. Gulden was born on September 26, 1986 at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego county. He was the son of Charles Donald Gulden and Patricia Beltran Quintana. Allen grew up in Chula Vista, California.
Allen was raised with two siblings. He had one sister, Bridgette Gulden, and one brother, Brandon Quintana. Allen was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many special life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Allen had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Bonita Vista High School in 2004. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Allen also enjoyed his college years. He was currently working at earning his Bachelors degree in Economics.
Allen worked hard to be a good father to his child and did his best to fulfill her needs. He was blessed with one beautiful daughter, Lexi Gulden.
Allen was an Army veteran. Allen saw action for the Iraq War. Through his hard work, he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including a Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star AR, Army Service Ribbon (2nd award), and a Parachutist badge. His fellow soldiers viewed him as a brother in arms and knew that he was as much a part of their family as their loved ones back home. He was honorably discharged after four years of dedicated service.
Allen passed away on August 24, 2010 in Chula Vista, California. He is survived by daughter, Lexi Gulden; mother, Patricia Quintana; father, Charles Donald Gulden; step father, Octavio Quintana; and siblings, Bridgette Gulden and Brandon Quintana. Services were held at The Little Chapel of the Roses. Allen was laid to rest in The Veterans Sanctuary at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Allen was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Allen leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Mr. Allen C. Gulden.
