Alfredo was a beautiful soul full of vigor for life and always ready for a good intelligent conversation.  His fond memory and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.  Our deepest condolences to you all. You are in our daily prayers and meditation, especially as you go through this difficult time.  May God bless you all with comfort and peace.

I keep great memories of all the moments and parties that we enjoy having together. Again, my deepest condolences to all the family. May God have him in heaven. QEPD y QDDG. 

My deepest condolence To Silvia,  Larry, Helga, Jessica and their families. I have no words to express  the feeling of loosing a husband, and father. My parents Carlos and Carmen Gutierrez were very closed friends with Jeronimo and Lucrecia Salazar. In our youth we became friends for a long time. 
Helmut invite us to Alpine Village, Torrance, were we had a great time.

I met Alfredo and Sylvia over four decades ago and I am so thankful for all the special occasions and moments we shared together throughout these years.  In this crazy world where everything keeps on changing, Alfredo remained constant.  His contagious smile, ongoing patience, and eagerness to help anyone in need, his  continuous  search for knowledge and deep faith,  his exemplary love and respect for his wife, children and grandchildren as well as all his extended family friends are what defined him.  His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.  He will be watching over us until we see him again.  My deepest condolences to the whole family!

After the First Saturday Mass in Alfredo and Sylvia's newly remodeled chapel, (Our Lady of Mount Carmel) in Doña Ana, NM, Alfredo generously treated everyone to a delicious meal. Some people dined outside since it was a beautiful day. Some had their meal in the “classroom” next to the chapel. When this picture was taken a few people had already left and Alfredo is seated in front of the door.

+J.M.J.+ Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you all. Please know that your family has been remembered in our daily prayers, especially as you go through this difficult time.
Alfredo, Sylvia, and Helga…you have been an incredible blessing for our Las Cruces, NM TLM Community in bringing the Traditional Mass as far as possible in our city. Alfredo told me that in his family tradition they have always tried to build chapels…and he was no exception! He named his beautiful chapel in Doña Ana after Our Lady of Mount Carmel. 
We couldn't have had the Low Masses in the Las Cruces area without his vision and assistance which he gave so freely and generously…we are going to miss him very much! We will have Traditional Masses offered for Alfredo and your family. May Alfredo Rest In Peace!

Our deepest sorry to Mrs. Salazar & family.   We pray that Our Lord bless them with strength, comfort, and peace.

We were blessed to know Mr. & Mrs. Salazar through the Latin Mass and their Chapel,  Our Lady of Mount Carmel,  in Dona Ana, NM.  

O Eternal Father, we offer Thee, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Most Precious  Blood of Thy Son for the soul of Alfredo Salazar.  May he rest in peace.



To the Salazar family,

I am sorry for your loss.  I enjoyed my conversations with Alfredo during my recent visits over the years.  He was always very engaging and curious.  He could ask questions digging deeper and deeper.   I recall thinking I hope I am that engaged when I am his age.  He was also very intelligent (he was good at those board games), and I could tell he was very much loved by all the family.  Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

I first met Uncle Alfredo when i visit the USA with my Grandma at the age of nearly 12 years old. Also at this first moment and again at all other visits i will rember Uncle Alfredo as a men of endless optimism, helpful, comunicative, patiently and so many other positive characteristics. My deepest condolence to the whole family. May he rest in Peace

Uncle Alfredo will always remind us of endless possibilities, of optimism, of life full of love - of faith. There was nothing he could not do, no problem he could not solve - no lost cause with him. But, what I will remember the most was his endless compassion, the simplicity of his advice, his independence, his love of family - what a man, what an example, and what a life well lived!

There are so many memories of my father-in-law to share. It's difficult to choose...
Alfredo always went out of his way to make my family(his in-laws) feel special. Whenever my family visited California (my parents, my brothers, my Aunt or even my friends), Alfredo wanted to welcome them by inviting them out to a special dinner. He made them a priority and welcomed them into his family.  At one point, my friend's young son thought that Alfredo was his grandfather. That is how he made people feel. I am so grateful for the love he bestowed on myself and my family.
One time he visited my parents at their lake house in Maine. He showed up with a bucketful of live Maine lobsters to cook for dinner and then proceeded to rent a pontoon boat for our 2 families to enjoy on the lake. I'll never forget Sylvia shocking us all, including Alfredo, by jumping into the fridgid lake!  He was so generous. Family was so important to him. 
He will be missed but never forgotten. May we follow in his loving and generous footsteps. May he rest in eternal peace.

Bringing family together was salient to opi, along with his faith in God.  I will always cherish all the memories of the family’s trips, and gatherings. It will not be the same without the one person that was the center of it all. 

We love and miss you! 


Rest in peace Dad. I miss you, I love you. You will always have a-very special place in my heart and prayers. I know you’ll keep watching over us as you always have, and I find comfort in that. This isn’t goodbye Dad…we’ll all be together again one day ⛅️

Dad, your presence is still strong . You remind me of your love for God and family. The long conversations we had  about religion and politics, any topic, you were an encyclopedia of knowledge!. You loved to talk and give people advice, I can still hear you, as if you were in the living room, sitting in your favorite brown comfy chair. 
 
We all live on borrowed time. People come and go so unexpectedly, we sometimes forget that nothing really lasts as long as we hoped they would.  losing you my dear Dad was such a heartbreaking experience, but it’s something we need to accept in order to continue on with our lives, especially for my beloved Dad, and showing gratitude and respect towards him and those who have been a part of his life is all part of the healing process.

I love you, I miss you Dad

My heart felt condolences to the family.  Tio Alfredo was a great person and cared for many.   He was a key person in helping us make the trip from Peru to the US, and at such provide us a way to live in this land of opportunity.  On a personal level he was instrumental in my faith and I recall how we often talked about God and helped me better understand the spiritual relationship.  He will be missed and I am glad I had a chance to see him in person last year, and a chance to say my goodbyes recently.  May he rest in peace,  his family will be in my prayers.
