I love how he watched his grandchildren. He never took his eyes off of them. He was always smiling, always laughing and saying "did you see that?" or "look at them, they are so smart" or "I am so lucky to be able to see my grandchildren grow up". Yes, I dare say he was obsessed with his "trio".  
Because he lived close to my house, I often would pick him up and take him to various events that the grandchildren were involved in.
He was at our home many times for dinners, parties, baptisms and even went to church with us.
He told me that I was a really good taxi driver and how much he missed "flooring it" He was a sweet, kind man with a heart of gold. He always put others before himself, always.
