Zachary was born in New Hanover County on December 16, 1991 to Robbie and Karen McPhatter Mintz. He was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Mintz and maternal grandparents, Grady and Pearl Freeman. He was employed with G E Wilmington Fuel Service Center as the lead in the CRD Shop. Zachary was an avid softball and baseball player.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Skipper(Johnny) of Leland; a son, Gannen Mintz and his mother Taylor Morgan of the home; two sisters, Jaymie Mintz (Steven) of Leland and Shelby Skipper of Leland; grandmothers, Nancy Mintz of Leland and Kitty Skipper of Leland.
Funeral service will be held Friday January 19, 2024 at one o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel with Reverend Rex Spaulding officiating. Interment will follow in the Farmers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Maco Road, Leland.
Pallbearers will be Lucas Ganey, Justin Mintz, A.J. Perkins, D.J. Graham, Jarrell Myers and Dominique Joyner
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
