At the age of 16, Tom (Thomas McIntyre) asked her to go skating, she accepted and Tom soon became her husband and the love of her life. He was stationed, in the Navy at Norfolk Virginia. The day Ginny got her driver's license she bravely drove from Norfolk back to West Virginia to stay while Tom was out at sea.
When Tom retired from the Navy he and Ginny together built and operated a fishing boat. Tom often talked about ow Ginny could pull the net in by herself while he operated the boat. In 1985 they moved to Holden Beach where Ginny had vacationed with her family as a child. Ginny could often be seen mowing, painting and doing various work around her home.
She and Tom were members of Sharon United Methodist Church. Ginny very much enjoyed being a part of the church. She volunteered at the Rose of Sharon, the churches consignment shop for many years. She also spent much of her time helping with the church's annual bazaar. She painted things and repaired jewelry for the sale. While visiting her you could often find her studying her Bible lesson for Sunday school.
She and a few of her church friends would visit Autumn Care and Universal Care every Sunday to be a blessing to the residents and staff.
She loved bluegrass music, singing and dancing. She also loved to share a good laugh with her friends.
Having no biological children of her own, she became family to her next door neighbors Ashley, Denise, and Mia Babson. They shared many visits, celebratory times, and every holiday together.
She had great church friendships, including Beverly and Wendy who were especially close to her.
She was a true Lady!
She has now joined her parents, and her beloved Tom in the heavenly realm.
