Thomas Wilkins Jr.

Thomas “Shorty” Wilkins, 60 of Leland, NC passed away on Sunday the ninth of April, 2017. Born in Loris, SC on the sixth of March 1957, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Fowler Wilkins. Shorty was a master machinist and will always be remembered for his love of freshwater fishing. His family was his focus and was a very devoted husband, father, paw-paw, step-father and future father-in-law. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Thomas.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Rebecca Ricker “Becky” Wilkins; a daughter, Heather Wilkins and fiancée Michael Clemmons, Jr., of Leland; two step-sons, Brian and Brad Ricker both of Leland; a brother, Steve Wilkins and wife Kim of Leland; grandchildren, Cameron, Aubrey, Victoria, Jordan, and Anna. Also, a brother in law and sister in law and one SPECIAL brother in law and best friend, John Mullinax; a special niece and nephew, Patricia and Mark and a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the thirteenth of April, 2017 in the White Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, Bolivia/Supply.

You are invited to a visitation with the family from two o’clock until three o’clock, on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations in his name be sent to the family for medical expense recovery at 1063 Castle Way, NE., Leland, NC 28451.
