Thomas Jerry Hair

Mr. Hair was born in Onslow Co. on March 17, 1944 and was son of the late Archie and Sallie Stewart Hair. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer, III from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service followed by a 15 year career with CP&L in Southport. He was a member of Winter Park Church of Christ in Wilmington. He was a member of the Waukegan Masonic Lodge #127 of Waukegan, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Anderson Hair; two sons, Thomas Jerry Hair, II and wife Helen of Wisconsin and Timothy John Hair of Florida; brothers, Jimmie Archie Hair and wife Carmelita of Johns Island, S.C. and Stacy Hair of Hubert, N.C.; sisters, Peggy Hair Riggs of Hubert, N.C., Shirley Boyle of Pleasanton, TX, Mary Walls Mullins and husband Okey of Boiling Springs Lakes, Margaret Booth of Pollicksville, N.C. and Kathy Gonzales of Hubert, N.C.; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 23, 2017 at 7 o’clock in the evening at White Funeral Service Chapel 603 Ocean Hwy. E. Bolivia, N.C. 28422 with John Cripps officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at noon on Friday February 24, 2017 at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery 110 Montford Landing Rd. Jacksonville, N.C. 28570 with military honors.
