Martha Greer Lanier

Born in Onslow County on August 23, 1937, she was the daughter of Elijah Leon Greer and Addie Aman Greer. She was also proceeded in death by her husband, George Lanier, daughter, Terry Dezem, brothers Hammond Greer and Jimmy Greer, sisters, Irene Johnsen and Leon May Davis.

Mrs. Lanier was an active member, Brunswick Chapter #341 North Carolina Order of Eastern Star in Shallotte and she was a past Matron of the Chapter and also was Past District Deputy Grand Matron. She was a member of the Goldenrod Chapter #142 in Wilmington, NC.

Surviving are her daughter, Lori Lanier of Southport, NC; a brother, Stevie Greer and wife, Brenda of Jacksonville, NC; four grandchildren, Chip Kirby, Addie Dezern, Haley Shannon and Brad Shannon; two great-grandchildren, Valerie Parkman and Malcolm Parkman.

There will be a time of Gathering from 6:00 to 7:00 O’clock in the evening of Thursday January 6, 2022, in White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel, with a celebration of her life will follow at 7:00 O’clock in the Chapel by Pastor Clayton Rivenbark.

She was an amazing woman, who loved her family and friends unconditionally and will never be forgotten.
