Jo Ann G Overby

JoAnn G Overby, age 72, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2022, following a short illness. She was born May 13, 1949 in Southport, NC and graduated from Southport High School in 1967. JoAnn was the daughter of the late George Gregory and Joy Arnold Gregory.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Angela Caster Best of Sharpsburg, NC and Michelle Caster Mealey of Long Beach, MS; sister, Rose McKeithan (Son) of Bolivia; grandchildren, Brandon Williams of Charlotte, NC, Alicia Nichols (Josh) of Long Beach, MS, and Aaron Mealey of Long Beach, MS; four great grandchildren.

JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a talented seamstress and pianist, assisting many churches in the area when needed. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends in Southport and Wilmington, NC.

In her honor, a memorial service for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at two o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service - Bolivia Chapel. Rev. Charles Drew officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
