Jerry Thomas Rivenbark

Mr. Rivenbark was born in Southport, NC on September 10, 1946 and was son of the late Timothy Clayton Rivenbark and Ruby McDowell Rivenbark. He worked for many years at Pfizer “ADM” in Southport and then with Rivenbark Construction. Jerry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and working. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and attended Faith Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Rivenbark and O’Neil Rivenbark.

He is survived by his partner of 40 years, Judy Foster; two children, Jerry E. “Lightning” Rivenbark and wife Deanna of Southport, and Angela Rivenbark of Southport; three grandchildren, Kristen, Matthew, and Ariel; great-grandchild, Connor; two brothers, Tim Rivenbark and wife, Louise, of Bolivia, and Rock Rivenbark and wife Susan of Rocky Point.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Faith Baptist Church, Bolivia, with Rev. Clayton Rivenbark, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry “Lightning” Rivenbark, Erwin Gullickson, Eric Lanier, Buddy Johnson, Jimmy Simmons and Carl Crouse.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 8, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Hwy E, Bolivia, NC.
