James Alton Stanley

He was an avid gardener and loved his family. He loved going to church where he was a member of the Unity Worship Center. He loved playing games on the computer. He was a loving, caring and kindhearted person, who loved his family and grandchildren and loved his sweets, especially cake and candy.

Surviving are his wife, Nina Gail Stanley, His sweetheart since 1963!; son, Alan Stanley and wife Kathi of Bolivia, NC; daughters, Wanda Gail Mintz and husband, Gerald of Leland, NC, Margaret Ann Stanley and husband Jim Percherke of Ashburn, VA, Barbara Ann Pokies and husband Scott of Kingsland, GA; sisters, Pauline Watts of Bolivia, NC and Rebecca "Peggy" Edge of Leland, NC; grandchildren, Jeremy Stanley, Matthew Mintz, Jesse Mintz, Krystle Bowman and Michael Joseph Breaux; great-grandchildren, Emmett Stanley, Julian Bowman and Daniel Bowman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at White Funeral & Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 pm with Rev. Brad Bullard officiating.

Internment will be held at Stanley Family Cemetery, Galloway Road, Bolivia, NC immediately following the service.
