He was born on March 26, 1937 in Wise County, Va, son of the late Bernard William and Anna Marie Herdon Jones. James was free spirit person, and always enjoyed being around others, he spent 3 years in the Army serving our great nation, and retired after 33 years with the dept of defense in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 67 years Charlene Taylor Jones; of Supply, NC; two sons; Michael Jones of Fairfield, PA; Duane Jones and wife Cheryl of Annapolis, MD; two sisters Florence Riggin and Betty McClumg and husband Tom all of Maryland; brother David Jones of Supply, NC; grandchildren Kelly Armstrong, Brooke Jones, Andrew Jones, James Jones and Jacob Jones; two great grandchildren; Luca and Leilah Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son James Robert Jones, Jr.
Per Mr. Jones request, there will be no service at this time.
