Mrs. Bellamy was the daughter of the late Charles Anthony and Ettie Rebecca Hewett. She was predeceased by her husband, William Earl Bellamy Jr.; her sister, Gertrude Hewett; her brother, Charles Anthony (C.A.) Hewett and great-granddaughter Sadie Hulsey.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include two sons, K. Gregory Bellamy and wife Millie of Leland, Allen E. Bellamy and wife Judy of Supply; two daughters, Tanya B. Long and husband Wayne of Wilmington, Sheree B. Rhodes and husband Cecil of Southport; grandchildren, Keane Bellamy and wife Alison of Hampstead, Zachary Long and wife Jessica of Raleigh, Ben Long and girlfriend Charlie of Wrightsville Beach, Caleb Long of Atlanta, Georgia, Jeffrey Hulsey and wife Candace of Wilmington, Tracy Long and husband Shannon of Supply, Meredith Rhodes of Raleigh; great-granddaughters, Ella, Halley and Liv Bellamy of Hampstead, Elizabeth and Bristol Long of Supply and Lanier Hulsey of Wilmington; great-grandsons, Hunter and Gavin Long of Supply. She is also survived by two nephews, Mark Hewett, Gary Hewett and two nieces, Debby Ferebee and Rebecca Justice.
Mrs. Bellamy was a member of Boones Neck Baptist Church in Supply where she served in several positions throughout the years. She was employed at Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation, retiring in 1974. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed trips to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and the Amish Country in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Bellamy cherished her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved family functions and was often seen cheering on her children and grandchildren at sporting events, as well as supporting their academic pursuits. She was a devoted Tar Heel fan and, along with her family, enjoyed all things Carolina Blue!
A funeral service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at White Funeral Service Supply Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hewett, Shannon Long, Zachary Long, Benjamin Long, Caleb Long, and Keane Bellamy.
Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family one hour prior to the service Saturday, July 29, 2017.
Burial will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery, Supply, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boones Neck Baptist Church, 2376 Boones Neck Rd. Supply, N.C. 28462 or to a charity of one’s choice.
