Gertrude Lou Hewett

Gertrude Lou Hewett, 76, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, October 10, 2010. Mrs. Hewett was the daughter of the late Charles Anthony Hewett and Ettie Rebecca Hewett. She is survived by her loving husband James F. Hewett, one son; Gary F. Hewett and wife Chris of Supply, two daughters; Deborah Ferebee and husband Clay of Raleigh, Rebecca Justice and husband Gary of Supply, a brother; Charles Anthony Hewett, sister; Irene Bellamy, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and special friend; Joey Snyder.

Mrs. Hewett was a member of Boone’s Neck Baptist Church. She loved gardening, and enjoyed travel and the great outdoors. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Gertrude will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Coble Ward-Smith Supply Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Sharon United Methodist Church, Holden Beach, with interment to follow at Oakgrove Cemetery, Supply, NC
