Esther was born on August 22, 1937 in Durham Co., NC daughter of the late Jasper A. Russell and Annie Franklin Russell.
Esther worked for 13 years as a professional pool maintenance at Resort Pools. She loved planting flowers and and taking care of them but most of all was being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her husband of 25 years, Clyde Joseph Sanford, whom she married on October 31, 1985 and her children: Glenda Lowe of Shallotte, NC, Linda Flowers of Stedman, NC , Keith Thomas of Buises Creek, NC, Angela Pridgen of Supply, NC and Nancy King of Iowa; 27 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday June 26, 2011 at 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Monday June 27, 2011 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 603 Ocean Hwy Supply, NC 28462. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM.
Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Brunswick Memorial Park, 5229 Ocean Hwy, Supply, NC 28462.
