

Darrell was born in Brunswick County on November 2, 1965 and was the son of William Turner and Nancy Sullivan(Turner) Mills. He was preceded in death by his father William Turner. He was a contractor at E.I. Dupont and for the past several years he was an automotive mechanic. Darrell was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother Nancy Mills and husband B.J. of Leland; his wife, Sherry Gerganous Turner of the home; three sons, D.J. Turner of of Leland, Kelley Turner of Leland and Nate Fridley of Boiling Spring Lakes; four daughters, Carrie Tuten of Winnabow, Maranda Turner of the home, Emily Grooms and husband Justin of Darlington, SC and Carla Jones of Currie, NC; grandchildren, Alex and Colton Tuten, Anna Grooms, Sophia and Shannon Jones; father and mother in-law, Larry and Perniel Gerganous of Kelly, NC and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 7, 2024 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Town Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Flowers, Reverend Rory Thigpen and Reverend Clayton Rivenbark officiating Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Walker, J.B. Best, Kent Phillips, Troy Martin, Sonny Porter, Mac Stanley, John Stanley and Justin Grooms. Honorary Pallbearers will be R.L. Sullivan Jr., Gary Sullivan, Tommy Sullivan, Steve Sullivan and H.L. Rich.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six o'clock until eight o'clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway, Bolivia.
