Clifton Earl Davis

Mr. Davis was born August 26, 1938 in Glen Alpine, North Carolina, son of the late Vance Martin Davis and Nora Ethel Buff Davis. He graduated Glen Alpine High School. Mr. Davis retired from Hilton Orlando, Florida as Head of Hospitality after over 30 years. Prior to moving to Bolivia, he lived in Star, North Carolina where he was an active member of Dover Baptist Church. There he shared his love for service to others through teaching etiquette to the younger generation. He organized and served the church’s Special Events Committee. He enjoyed Vacation Bible School and took pride in showing the children how to properly iron on the t-shirt transfers. While living in Bolivia he was a member of First Baptist Church of Shallotte and the Intermediate Sunday School Class until his death. He was an avid golfer and loved flower gardening. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Davis, Louise Gosnell, Reverend Bill Davis, Paul Davis, Reverend Alfred Davis, Margaret Franklin, and Reverend Donald Davis.

Survivors include his daughter, Saundra Adams of N. Myrtle Beach; son, Craig Davis and wife Katrina of Asheville; brother, Reverend Gerry Davis; grandsons, Kyle Davis, William Adams; granddaughters, Amanda Adams and Laura Morrow; and great grandson, Jett Jackson.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with his brother Reverend Gerry Davis and Reverend Bob Weathers officiating.
