Clara "Cricket" Christine Stephens, age 78, of Kenansville formerly of Brunswick County, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Ms. Stephens was born in Columbus County on February 27, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Samuel Roosevelt Stephens and Daisy Adaline Smith Stephens. She graduated from Waccamaw High School in 1963 and worked at Beck's Restaurant in Calabash for many years. She loved animals most especially cats and she also loved her stuffed animals.
She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Johnson and Betty Henson both of Wilmington; three nieces, Frances McGeoy and Linda Maultsby of Winnabow, Amanda Maultsby of Wilmington; a nephew, Rockwell Henson of Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 18, 2023 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel in The Pines. Burial will follow in Columbus Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from six o'clock until eight o'clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway, Bolivia
