Carl Wooten

Carl Jackson Wooten, affectionately known as “CJ”, 84, was born December 5, 1936 to Lucy Jane Willard and Carl Wilson Wooten of North Wilkesboro. Carl passed away at home on Sunday, February 28, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Carl worked as a federal marshal prior to becoming a heavy equipment operator. He never met a stranger and was always laughing. He enjoyed dancing, bluegrass music, and playing the banjo. Carl also enjoyed making moonshine in his free time and lived life to the fullest with no regrets!

Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Penuel Wooten; daughter, Krystal Clemmons and husband, David, whom he considered his son and are owners of A+ Tree & Landscaping; three grandchildren, Dale LaShay, Summer Rose, GrayceLeigh Violet, all of Supply; and his dog, Misty.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held for family and friends. A special thanks to White Funeral and Cremation Service.
