When I started in the White Plains PO, Bob was a carrier there.
Many, many times we worked together..
Even when he went to the Management side of things, Bob was still a good, kind boss. That's a rarity, so kudos to Bob for keeping his friendliness and ability to communicate. He most definitely was not the aveage PO boss..
He was much loved and respected.
He willl be missed..

Bobby was a true gentleman and class act who had a smile and a kind word for all those he encountered. Bob was among a limited number of “Old School “ managers whose reputation for professionalism, integrity and effectiveness preceded him wherever he went. I worked with Bob in White Plains PO in the early 2000s. I always found Bob to be a very polite, friendly and courteous man. He also had a great deal of knowledge about postal operations. I always appreciated his kindness and sense of humor.

Dear Meg and Robbie, My sincere condolences to you both. I was one of Bob's carriers in Port Jervis.  I found Bob to be a fair and considerate boss which was hard to do under the administration he had to serve. Many a supervisor were detested for how they handled their staff but not Bob, he never forgot his roots. I retired before Bob and sort of lost touch. To Meg, Robbie, and all of Bob's family and friends, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences . There are no words that can serve to comfort you  at this moment. We are left with the memories of Bob's life, one that  all can agree was well lived. I've known Bob since 1983 when he came to work at the White Plains Post Office. As the years passed, he joined our management team and we were together daily. He made the days go by faster thanks to his wit and humor . After work, we played ball, went fishing, went to baseball games and were together a lot. Bob was one of the funniest guys I ever knew . He helped all of us in White Plains to enjoy our time together,and for that, I am eternally grateful. RIP, my friend.

My condolences to the Maskara Family.  Some of my best memories of laughter came from Bob.  He made me an official “Folder Girl” during inspections and that just met I had to work late but we all would do anything for Bob!! I’m so grateful to have met him in this lifetime, what a wonderful soul.

Meg,  it is with profound sadness that we write this. Jean is currently on a ship but when I shared with him what had happened he was truly shaken. It has been many years but nothing can erase the memories of good times and many laughs with you and Bobby. The Christmas Eves in particular and the Apex Tech team putting together some child’s toy but of course alcohol was involved so in the end there were “parts left over “. Dearest Meg and family, 

What a blessing it was to have Bob as a dear friend and neighbor. Bob and Meg were one of our first friends to have met when we moved into Palmetto Creek in 2018.  Over the years our friendship grew and we shared many meals and laughs together. We consider the Maskara’s our family! Their love and unwavering support helped us get through some very trying times and they never hesitated to lend a hand or an ear to listen. 
I will miss cooking for Bob. I so loved sending leftovers with him to enjoy. 
We will miss his stories,  his laughter and watching his deep love and affection for Meg………Pulling their prom picture out of his pocket! 
When our family and friends from Pennsylvania would visit,  Bob would often go golfing with them as he did last year with my “new to golfing “grandson who remarked how Bob helped him so much to learn.  That’s who he was……always there for everyone and we will miss him dearly.

Growing up a few houses away and attending the same schools, I can still see his smile. He was always a gentleman, so sweet and just a really nice guy. I haven’t seen Bobby in years, but this news stopped me in my tracks. My heart goes out to his family. What a tremendous loss. May God bless you all and may he rest in God’s peace.

We are so sad to hear of Bobby's passing.  I have many fond memories of "babysitting" Bobby, Danny and Mark for several summers. Bobby had a loving heart and always had a kind word whenever I saw him.  We lived next door and I remember how he used to come to our back door and ask my mother for some of her home baked chocolate chip cookies.  We were very happy when you lived in our first floor apartment when you first married. Our first tenants! You are all in our prayers and I pray that your memories of Bobby will be a comfort to you during these difficult days.

Those of us who have had the opportunity to live in retirement near Bob and Meg had become very familiar with Bob's zest for life.  He has always been willing to help a neighbor, share a meal, and entertain us with stories of his youth and career.  It seems like such a loss that he has been called home now as we all know he had a lot of living left to do and was looking forward to new experiences to share with his family and friends.  

We hope that all who were closest to him can work through this dreadful sense of loss loss as soon as possible and focus on the many wonderful memories they have of Bob.  We will miss seeing him and Meg out during all hours of the day and night walking their beloved "Dixie".

    I am so sorry for your tragic loss. Bobby grew up on amackassin with me. Ive known him since  I  was a little kid. He was probably my first friend. He lived two houses down. Our families knew each other well. He was the nicest guy you'd ever meet. So easy going and friendly. Over the years as we've lost family and neighbors Bobby always had kind words of remembrance for each person. I never thought I'd be writing something for him this soon. This is a terrible tragedy. I will treasure my memories of our youth , going to concerts at gorton with our dads,  watching the amackassin stickball games in the street, and lighting sparklers on the fourth of July. You'll be sorely missed Bobby. By everyone that ever met you. Rest in peace my friend. You're gone way too soon. I hope God comforts your entire family at this time.

I was so saddened to hear of  Bobby’s tragic  death. He was so upbeat lately with the improvement of his health situation that we were talking Yankees and the upcoming NFL draft which makes this such a tragedy. I spent 35 years in the postal service but my best years were when I was working side by side with him, he made it fun. Bobby was a great friend who I will miss terribly.
