Therese A Stehr

After a period of declining health, Therese A. Francione Stehr, 93, of Boca Raton, died peacefully on May 22, 2019. She was at home surrounded by family.

Therese was born on January 25, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She was one of four daughters and a brother born to Emil and Agnes Francione.

After graduation from high school, Therese, a compassionate and bright young woman, decided to pursue nursing. While she was a student nurse she met her future husband, Gerold Stehr. He was in the US Navy and after a whirlwind courtship they married.

Therese and Gerold settled in Wisconsin and raised four children. She loved being a mother and was very involved in school activities. She also was very active in the Catholic Church and the community.

After Gerolds’ retirement, they moved to a senior community in Boca Raton. Therese stayed busy working as a Registered Nurse doing insurance physicals. She also loved to entertain, read, play golf, and travel. She lost her husband of over forty years in 1995. Staying active and determined, Therese worked and played golf until she was eighty-two. An excellent cook and hostess, she also loved to entertain friends and family until she became too ill. Then she would watch football and root for her favorite teams.

The heartbeat of the Stehr family, she will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Family members include her sister, Rita Blank, and her children: Kurt (Kathie), Cyndi, Randy (Lynn), Patti (Alan). Also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Resurrection will be held June 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
