July 14, 1951 - December 8, 2024
It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Lynn Brown, who left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on December 8, 2024, in Parkland, Florida. Born on July 14, 1951, in Hammond, Indiana, Terry was the beloved daughter of Wilbur J. Brown and Betty Louise Brown.
Terry grew up in Cedar Lake, Indiana, where she graduated from Hanover High School. She was a loving sister to Mary Gluth, Greg Brown, and Kurt Brown. She was a devoted mother to her son, Paul Gellenbeck, and took on the role of a mother to her grandchildren, raising them with love, guidance, and unwavering dedication: Paul Gellenbeck Jr., Chelsea Gellenbeck, Brianna Gellenbeck, Layla Gellenbeck, and Sienna Ziegler.
Terry was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who loved her family more than anything in the world. She maintained daily communication with her loved ones, ensuring everyone felt her unwavering love and support. She shared a special bond with her daughter-in-law, Laura Gellenbeck, whom she considered family and felt blessed to have in her life.
Terry owned and operated TK Lounge before retiring in Florida. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending her days with her family and friends at Taco Tuesday and especially loved her "second son," her beloved dog Bubba. She was known for her warm heart, her dedication to her family, and her ability to bring people together.
Terry was blessed to have such loving friends and family always around her, which made her very happy.
Terry built a legacy that will live on forever in her family, showing love and creating the foundation her family is built on. Her lessons, love, and dedication will continue to guide and grow her family for generations to come.
The family will honor Terry's memory with two celebrations of life. First will be held December 22th from 3pm-7pm at Papas Raw Bar in Lighthouse Pointe. The second will take place on January 5 time TBD at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana. Loved ones are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate her incredible life.
