Robert Cosentino went to heaven January 22, 2022. He is preceded by his parents Armand and Monse, survived by his loving wife of 28 years Mary Beth and two cherished dogs.Robert made us feel loved, heard and encouraged.
He sang in churches, played the lead guitar with the church music team for years. When his music ministry ended he used Facebook as a format to share Bible verses every single day for many years. He wanted to encourage people and share the hope Jesus gave to him. He wrote Bible Verses and prayers for friends by hand in leather journals and was learning calligraphy. He was an endless source of knowledge for military history, apologetics, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis books.
Robert studied opera in Tortona, Italy for 8 years and sang as a tenor professionally. Sunday afternoons singing with his Dad was his favorite pastime. Although he invested years of study, he would give away those gifts to anyone that asked. It was never about the money, it was more a beautiful voice that touched our souls.
He did not enjoy working in retail management, he was not inclined to mince words with rude shoppers. Nevertheless, so many nights he came home starving because he gave away his lunch.
Robert voluntarily served in the US Marine Corp from 1976 to 1978 until an injury sent him home. As a Marine veteran, he lived the meaning of "Always Faithful" and demonstrated it daily in the way he cared for others.
Robert will be laid to rest with Marine Military Honors at South Florida National Cemetery during a private ceremony.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Tuesday, February 15th at 6:30 pm with a reception immediately following at Coastal Chapel, 1510 High Ridge Road, Lake Worth, Florida 33461
