Paul James Slattery, 62, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Paul was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on May 8, 1954, the son of James and Leonora Slattery nee Plantz. He grew up in Baldwin, NY, and graduated from N.Y.I.T with a degree in Architecture in 1976. He then moved to Florida in 1977, where he established his architecture firm Slattery & Associates, Architects and Planners. He was a well-respected, award winning businessman in Boca Raton for over 35 years. Paul’s devotion to his family, along with his love for fishing and golf were proof of his life motto – “Can’t Quit.”
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Pamela, his parents James and Leonora Slattery, his daughters, Michaelina Knutson (Robert) and Jamie Stebbins (Mason) and a grandson Brayden Knutson, all of Boca Raton.
A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Advent Lutheran Church, 300 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, FL, 33431. The family will receive friends for a time of fellowship and refreshment in the fellowship hall of the church following the service. Those wishing to make memorial donations in lieu of flowers may do so to Trustbridge Hospice in Paul’s memory. The family appreciates the kind and compassionate care the Blue Jay team provided them while with Trustbridge Hospice.
