Hello, my name is Debbie and I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Millie for a short time at Reloved Consignment.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of what she has been through and of her passing.
I had many beautiful deep conversations with her back then and I always felt better after speaking with her. She had a very special and sweet soul and I know she is in a beautiful place now on the other side with God.
I lost my husband many years ago he was young too and I was left to raise our 2 beautiful children on my own. I often spoke to Millie about this.... she was always so empathetic and I am so grateful for that. As I write this note I am fighting my own cancer .... Leukemia and I understand more than most about suffering loss and  pain. 
Please.... if anyone in Millie’s family or friends need to talk to someone who truly understands I am always available.

Dear Taveras Family, 

I am so deeply sorry for this loss you all have endured. I met Millie around 2011 thru my cousin Jomayra.  She was so fun, cool, we related to so much. We kept in contact throughout the years but on Instagram we became a bit closer. She always encouraged me, always reacting to my posts and sending me messages thru DM. I also always encouraged her back, I was so proud of her entrepreneurship. When I found out she had cancer I became sad but that sadness left immediately with seeing how strong and happy she was living her life in such a positive way, amidst the circumstances. She inspired so many. I honestly did not believe cancer would win this fight :( She consoled me when my nephew died in July. That was our last conversation. I left instagram after that and came back in January. I found it odd that I wasn't seeing her usual posts. The day I asked about her was the same day I found out of her passing.  We will miss Millie dearly, I take comfort in that she is not suffering anymore. I pray for her whole family and her boys during this hard time.   Love you Millie! God bless you always luv! :( 

Millie, you were truly an angel on earth.  Always treated everyone with kindness. You were full of joy and calmness.  I will always remember your laughter and appreciate your honesty. Thank you for being you, a beautiful person inside and out.

You’ve left me heartbroken , there are no words to describe how I feel. You were such an important person in my life. I’m going to miss so much our weekly texts and DMs at the same time. Our dates to our favorite Greek place, our cafesito after eating for our talks, our addiction for the snap chat filters, but more importantly that contagious  laugh of yours. I can’t still hear you laughing none stop. Millie, there is so much I can say about you but I just want to say you’re going to be extremely missed. You were such a happy joyful & adventurous. The day we partied at your house in the Bronx was such an amazing day, we had so much fun, I wish we would of repeated more of those. 

Akey mi primo bello, I cant begin to understand what you’re going through. I shared so many more memories with you & her. I wish things were different but she’s in a better & more leave place. I love you guys dearly. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys Akey. Millie was an amazing person, always had positive vibes and was always willing to help. Every time we would post something about our family she was one of the first to show love. When we were thinking about moving to FL, you both helped us explore options and she was hands on in helping us get more info. As I was writing my book I thought about her courage to share her experiences and everything she was going through. She inspired us like she inspired many others. The last comment on my IG from her was that she ordered a copy of my book and sent blessings to my family. Like always so positive and supportive. Little does she know she was part of the inspiration for me to write it. We love and will always support your family in any way we can. Although we didn’t make the move to FL I can’t wait to meet with you guys and hang out with the boys.

I remember when you guys moved to Boca and you guys invited us and we hung out by the pool and we had such as amazing time. All our kids hanging out just like when we were kids it was a beautiful things. Thank you so much for allowing us to make such beautiful memories with you guys. I would never be able to thank you enough for how AMAZING you have been with my sister from the very first time you met each other to  her last breathe. The moment I saw you walking down the aisle looking like the princess and queen you always were. For many nights I dreamed about having a beautiful wedding just like yours and Akey. I pictured myself looking as radiant and beautiful like you. Your positivity and beautiful spirit always shined anywhere you stepped in. You were a warrior until the very end and your continued drive to inspire others helped me in ways I hope you now can see. Corky laugh, vibrant soul, and bubbly personality is who you were. I met you when my life changed forever, it was the day I said yes to Jesus. You were thoughtful, consistent in our friendship and most of all, empathetic. You showed me how a young tennager takes off her vail to see a new world of possibilities, living a life after God's own heart. We shared beautiful memories, and laughed so hard we couldn't breathe. You were so committed to your friends and most of all your family. Akey was so blessed to have had such a beautiful soul as her partner in the good and in the bad. And Akey, you have been such a unique and wonderful husband to Millie. To have gone through what you went through with her, not many would do. They would quickly say, " I did not sign up for this". "Till death do you part", you sure did fulfill that promise. Sonny and I love you for that. Thanks for taking care of her the way you did. Thanks for being the man she needed you to be in her toughest times in life. I miss you so much Millie that it hurts. I know we didn't see each other for a long time but when we did speak, it's as if we never seperated. Your sons I'm sure feel honored by having had a mom like you. Millie you will be truly missed, you literally watched me and Sophie grow up, you were there throughout our whole childhood. You helped raise us and we had great times, you are practically like a big sister. Millie and I met in NYC while working for Leak and Watts in 2008.  We immediately clicked because she was always outgoing, goal oriented, funny, energetic and always spoke her mind.   We’ve been friends since and kept in touch more once I moved to Fl.  I loved how positive she always was in the mist of the storm, always encouraging others to pursue their dreams.  Millie you will be so missed.  Thank you for allowing me to be your friend and sharing our passions.   RIP baby girl. 

My memory of Millie was when we first meet in high school. She was always sweet and kind hearted. She had her moments of being funny as well. I love her sense of style and being able to take risks to do what she loved. She also showed so much passion and love for her family. My friend Millie thank you for being you! I met Millie during the pandemic via IG. It was at the height where everyone was pretty much shelter in place. I came across her page on the explore page and only liked a few of her posts. Then she followed me. I started to notice something s about here right off but her smile and light struck me immediately. I posted a memory of my daughter who had cancer and Millie commended me for the way we honored her. I post inspirational messages and we would often dialogue back and forth. The whole time she uplifted and encouraged me never mentioning health challenges of her own. Something told me to send up a prayer for her and a week later she made a post about not feeling the best. In my short interactions with her she was loyal honest and loving. I am so blessed to have known her even as briefly as it was. I will never forget her....Millie give my Nauna a kiss for me and talk about fashion! Thank you for being my friend.
