Louise Carlton was born and raised in Holden, Massachusetts to parents Henry Lucian and Juliette and brother Henry Lucian III (Phil). She was a long-time resident of Homestead, Florida. Upon retirement in1990, she and her husband Edward moved to Estero, Florida.
Louise was a Secretary and Administrative Assistant at Leisure City and Calusa Elementary Schools for the Miami-Dade County School System. She was also the Junior Choir director at Homestead Air Force Base and continued singing in church choirs for most of her adult life.
Upon retirement, Louise and her husband joined the Estero United Methodist Church. As long-time members, she faithfully served as the office administrator and volunteered for the Walk to Emmaus. Her passion for her husband, her children, her grandchildren, music, and serving God were unparalleled.
During the last several years of her life, Louise gracefully battled Alzheimer’s. Even though the disease ultimately limited her conversation, she was still able to hum her music, smile with a sparkle in her eyes and effortlessly offer an “I love you” to all. It’s been said that “she sang her way right into heaven.” She was an inspiration to everyone who met her and she will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind her six children, Pamela and her husband Steve Adair; Cynthia and her husband Greg Griffin; Kimberlee and her husband Wayne Kemble; Lisa and her husband Karl Greer; Mark Kull; Paul Kull; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many, many close friends. Her beloved husband of 43 years, Edward, predeceased her in 2017.
Arrangements are being made under the direction of Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton, Florida.
