The almost prized catch John talked about for years! Will always remember him teaching us to fish.

Always looked forward to losing to John at poker night (2008).

John came into our lives when he married my cousin Linda.  His wisdom, sense of humor, generosity and gamesmanship will be remembered always.   May he rest in peace.

John was always positive and had great stories to share.  We treasure our time we spent together while we lived in Florida, and JJ always loved staying at the house (and getting turkey bacon from John!).  John will be greatly missed.

"My Big Brother, John"

Life is short, I once read....so live
it with people that make you laugh
and feel loved.

My brother couldn't build a mountain,
or make a rainbow way up in the sky,
But he was always there for me or at
least he would try!

Growing up with no extra money to spend,
John would make our games that looked
just like the ones in the stores....
We laughed and played by the rules...yep!
He would usually win!

And as I grow older I realize that life can be funny
and people come and go,
But even tho we always lived some distance apart,
My big brother, John, left a big mark on my heart!

His phone calls, his cards, and especially those
singing cards that always made me laugh...
I wondered did he know how often he would
give my day a full, wonderful start!

With his great big hugs and a "smoochie" kiss,
John left memories that I will surely miss.
He was one in a million and I am so glad that
I can look back and say:
"I thank God for you as my big brother everyday!"

John was a beloved brother-in-law, Uncle, and great-Uncle. He cared deeply about his family- always ready with a helping hand and a wide smile. May his memory be for a blessing. He will be greatly missed and mourned.

When I think of John, there are a couple of prominent memories I have.  One is of the wonderful experiences Linda and John were able to share living in Japan together.  I remember both the letters of the experience and then all the memorabilia we saw and the stories we heard when we visited them.  I also have fond memories of walking the beach and sharing the love of shelling with John.  He was the one who taught me what an auger shell was.  RIP John; you deserve it after all the illnesses you experienced in your latter years.

Though you're no longer with us, you're memory will linger forever, and that memory will be a blessing. 

RIP John.... Will always remember our fun days in Japan - running down the Shrine Sales and the Salvation Army.    And of course, our Trip to Phuket.  -- such fond memories.       Save some goodies for me at the Shrine Sales in Heaven.
