Jean-Louis Lacerte

Jean-Louis Lacerte, 79, of Okeechobee passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Jean – Louis was born on June 26, 1938 in Baie-du-Febvre, Quebec, Canada a son of the late Rodolphe and Yvette Lacerte nee Courchesne.

Jean-Louis Lacerte was an accomplished general contractor and land developer, an avid hunter and fisherman enthusiast. At almost 80 years old, he had the will and energy that any young man would envy.

Surviving Jean-Louis is his beloved fiancée Lucero Schaffer and her children: Omar and Karla, his children, Michelle Lacerte and her Husband Jean, Eric Lacerte and his wife Isabel and their children, Sebastien and Anabelle, Evelyn Lacerte and her daughter Romain, Grisèle Lacerte (widow of Rene Lacerte) and their children, Charlie, Olivia and Jacob, his grandchildren Beau and Troy Lacerte ( sons of Marc Lacerte) , his siblings, Jocelyn Lacerte, Huguette Lacerte, and Lyne Lacerte, as well as many members of his extended family, dear friends and business partners. In addition to his parents Jean-Louis was preceded in death by his sons Marc Lacerte and Rene Lacerte.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL, 33432. A Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 S Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441. Interment will take place a later date in Canada.
