Jean M Davis

Jean Marcy Davis (“Jackie”) passed peacefully on October 27, 2022, in Boca Raton, Florida. Jackie was born October 7, 1930, in Dobbs Ferry, New York, to the late Harold and Doris Marcy. Jackie was the loving mother of her three children Susan Davis, Robert Davis (Lori) and Janice Faustin (David) and was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Davis. She was a devoted grandmother of Alexandra Haas (Eric), Jacqueline Faustin and Victoria Faustin. She was the dear sister of Anne Teppo (Ken) and cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jackie grew up in Marcellus, New York. She graduated from Albion College in 1953 and received a Master of Arts degree from Michigan State University. Jackie was a home economics teacher for many years in Michigan until she moved to Florida. Jackie taught for a few years in Boca Raton and then enjoyed a second career as the Social Services Director with Manor Care in Boca Raton.

Jackie was dedicated to her faith and was a founding member, elder and deacon of Glades Presbyterian Church. Reading and writing were her passions. She loved the Florida sunshine, walks along the beach, drives along the ocean, Lake Michigan sunsets, solitaire, crossword puzzles, a good game of bridge and a great old fashioned. Jackie also loved to travel and especially looked forward to annual trips with the Faustin family and her girlfriends. Traveling to Mackinaw Island and the Cayman Islands and boating to the Bahamas were a few of her favorite adventures.

Jackie's smile and laugh were contagious. There was nothing that put a smile on her face more than to talk with and see her granddaughters. Her kindness, caring heart, strength, resilience, and spirit will forever be an inspiration.

We were all fortunate to have such a wonderful woman in our lives for so many years. She is truly one of God's chosen Guardian Angels and will continue to watch over us. We miss her immensely and know that her love will embrace and comfort us when we need it most.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on December 3, at Babione Funeral Home in (West) Boca Raton, Florida. We encourage you to dress in Bright Colors (if desired) to radiate the joy and happiness that Jackie shared with the world.
