Helen actively worked with children’s programs in her local church and several school PTA groups. Once the sons were in college, Helen went to work in the offices of Metropolitan Life in Tampa and retired after 12 years of service.
Helen and Ray were blessed to share 32 years of retirement, traveling extensively in the US and Canada, once visiting Great Britain. They were always delighted to participate in the lives of their grandchildren (and great grandchildren) including graduations and weddings.
Helen’s leisure activities included ceramics and flower arranging. Later, she taught herself to use the computer to keep up with the lives of her children and grandchildren.
