George A. Matters, 76, of Boca Raton, FL passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his home. George was born on February 22, 1939 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High. He served in the U.S. Army as a Medic where he received a Good Conduct Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal (Berlin). He attended La Salle University and graduated with a B.S. in Engineering. George retired from Siemens Corp in Boca Raton. He then worked for Red Reef Golf Course as a Pro Shop Attendant. Surviving George are his loving wife Lucy, son Craig, daughter Lisa, six grandchildren and one great- grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Babione Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL.
